Think of it like this, you’re my apprentice for over 2 hours while I share all of my best tips and tricks for a quality well-built fence.
Here’s what we’ll be going over:
- Building a solid h-brace which is the anchor and strength of your fence.
- Setting your in-line posts using either wood or t-posts and ensuring they are straight down the line.
- Tying off and stretching your fence wire so you’ll have a tight fence for decades.
- Setting a gate that doesn’t sag and become problematic.
Building a quality fence doesn’t have to be confusing. There is some information out there on the web but it misses a lot of important information that I go over. I want to ensure that you have a fence that is going to last a few decades. I’d hate to see you have to replace or fix your fence 5 years from now.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to build?
It’s hard to say with fencing because obviously the longer the fence you have to run, the more expensive it will be in materials.
If you add in more gates, that will increase the cost as well and it can depend on what type fence posts you use as well.
For the 150′ run of fence we did, it would cost approximately $350-400 in materials.
Are the building supplies hard to find?
Some of the tools can be found easily online but the vast majority of materials can be found at a local farm store like True Value and TSC.
How much time does it take to build?
It took the two of us about 2 days to finish off the 150′ run of fence in the video course.
We also had to spend a lot of time explaining how we did everything so that tagged on a lot of time as well.
It will vary on a number of different factors.
